We've noticed a few machines are not connecting to the right server, so the connection is running very slow.
To check this, right-click the red N at the lower right-hand side of your screen and select "Novell Login".
In the Novell Login window that appears, click the Advanced tab and the window should appear as shown:
Make sure the information in the "Server" field matches the campus that you are located at (ie: BPE_SERVER for Bridge Point). If it does not match, let us know and we can make sure you're connected to the right server for your campus.

A few years ago we went to a contextless sign-on does this mean we are going to need to change the server context when it is a student verses a teacher verses which campus you are at in the district?
No - they are still contextless, so they will connect. The connection speed, however, is much slower when a machine at Barton Creek, for example, is connecting to the HCMS server.
In most cases, there are simply incorrect configurations. For a desktop, it should "default" to whatever campus it is located at, independent of who is signing in. Does that make sense, or am I confusing the issue? :)
I think mine is on Forest Trail...can you check it for me?
Thanks
