Are we moving away from Microsoft Office completely and moving towards Open Office? The Physics department uses Publisher A LOT and Open Office doesn't really have something with the same functionality.

Short answer: Nope!
Long explanation: Honestly, the only reason Open Office is in there instead of Word is because Word and the rest of the Office applications are much more complicated programs that have a lot of kinks we're working out before offering it up for testing. I promise it was all in the name of what was 100% ready to test and what wasn't.
For the record...I don't think we ever could abandon Microsoft Office...too many people throughout the district depend on it :)
